Empowering Women to Keep Moving Confidently
Inspired by their mothers and disappointed by the narrative around ageing, Jenn and Val (long time friends and running
teammates) founded H&H Unlimited in 2020.
H&H Unlimited was built to support women as they age.
We are not “anti-aging” but rather we embrace aging and want to help women feel empowered and confident no matter their health and fitness journey.
In an effort to combat today's unrealistic aging standards, H&H’s mission is to support and uplift real women as they age rather than encouraging them to “look and feel younger”.
We work with certified Senior Fitness Instructors to curate fitness equipment, how-to guides and workouts, and we take great pride in showcasing women from all walks of life, whose fitness and ageing journeys vary.
The Women Who Inspired H&H
Barb (Jenn's mom)
Barb has been active her whole life. She grew up playing sports—even hockey with the boys in the 60s—and carried her love for running well into her adult years. As a new grandmother, she loves walking and is always trying new activities to maintain her strength, flexibility, and balance.
Florence (Val's mom)
Florence took up athletics as a young adult. It allowed her a well-deserved mental respite from her career and helped her keep up with her young family. Her athleticism continues to age with her; these days you can find Florence golfing, cycling, and even tap dancing and hang gliding! With 8 grandchildren, Florence strives to keep healthy and active.
Anne (Older Adult Fitness Instructor)
As an Older Adult Fitness Instructor and Movement Coach, Anne is a key partner with H&H Unlimited. She pulled from her 40+ years of experience and multitude of certifications to help choose the fitness accessories, lead the fitness videos, and provide her overall expertise to H&H’s work.
Anne’s life-long commitment to the health and wellness of older adults is demonstrated through her many certifications including (but certainly not limited to!): Senior Fitness Instructor and course trainer with the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging (Western University), Stott Pilates certified instructor, and designated Functional Aging Specialist through the Functional Aging Institute. She holds certifications with American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise and CanFitPro.
